Synopsis
The film is set in present-day Ukraine. The main character of the film is the austere 94-year-old ex-professor, a WWII veteran, and retired athlete.
His name is Georgiy Vlasovych Kozyr. But everyone simply calls him shortly, Vlasovych. He lives alone in a small house a few dozens of kilometers from the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. There Vlasovich has created his own ideal micro-universe of things and memories. He left the city life 5 years ago on the very day when his beloved wife passed away after sixty years of living, differently, together. To keep his thoughts positive, Vlasovych creates daily work plans for himself which he must complete. Splitting firewood, feeding the dog, baking bread, making a home-made wine, growing plants. Sometimes he trains his memory, learning long pieces of his favorite poems by heart. One day, Vlasovych's solitude was interrupted by a phone call from his former student Victor, who now is the President of a Masters swimming club. The call was not random for sure, because Vlasovych was teaching swimming at the university for 40 years. Victor made a crazy, as you can think first, proposal. He invited Vlasovych to join a unique masters relay team. The total age of the four team members has to be more than 360 years. The team could not have been created without the key member - Vlasovych himself. There is simply no other 94-year-old in Ukraine who could swim the distance with a proper technique. The challenge for the 360+ team is very ambitious. The team has to compete in order to become both the World champions and the World records holders. The film follows a journey of the 360+ team headed by Vlasovych for their highest life achievements with a strong belief that it is never too late for a fresh start. |
