Vladolena Pictures Inc. was founded in 2017, Vancouver, British Columbia by award-winning filmmakers Olena Fetisova and Volodymyr Kozyr who recently moved from Ukraine to Canada. read more

Their list of productions includes 8 documentaries and 4 fiction films - a film for children An Awesome Tale, 2008, Ukrainian-Estonian co-production, a biopic drama Paradjanov, 2013, Ukrainian-French-Georgian-Armenian co-production, supported by ARTE France Cinema, a comedy Now I’m Gonna Love You, 2015, Ukrainian-Georgian co-production, and a mystic drama Ether, 2018, Polish-Ukrainian-Hungarian-Lithuanian co-production. Collectively, our productions have screened at Karlovy Vary, Rome, Sao Paolo, Les Arcs, Warsaw, Montpellier and Hot Docs film festivals and have received awards and nominations from Festival du cinema europeen en Essonne in France, Black Nights IFF in Tallinn, Odessa IFF in Ukraine, Spirit of Fire IFF in Russia, Cinepolitica IFF in Bucharest, Batumi IFF in Georgia, the State Awards of Ukraine and Armenia and many other. With a focus on international co-production and partnerships, Vladolena Pictures Inc. is looking for fresh styles, human stories, experimental narrative, and aiming at producing feature films and documentaries for Canadian and international audiences. In 2018 Vladolena Pictures Inc. produced a feature documentary 360+. Currently, we are developing a fiction drama Game Over, a limited drama series #Lovetodeath and two documentaries The Clive Sisters and Me and My Partner.

Biography

Olena Fetisova is an award-winning producer, director and writer. After graduated from Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow she has been continuously working in film production.
In 2005-2008 Olena produced and directed a series of award-winning documentaries. 
In 2008 she produced the fairy-tale An Awesome Tale, Ukrainian-Estonian co-production. In 2013 she produced, wrote and directed the biopic drama Paradjanov, Ukrainian-French-Georgian-Armenian co-production, supported by ARTE France Cinema. The film was premiered at Karlovy Vary IFF Competition and received 9 awards at International film festivals. In 2015 Olena produced the comedy Now I’m Gonna Love You, Ukrainian-Georgian co-production. In 2018 she co-produced the mystic drama Ether, Polish-Ukrainian-Hungarian-Lithuanian co-production. All films were theatrically released and distributed internationally.
Keen to explore a new world and share her professional and cultural experience, Olena recently moved from Ukraine to Canada and started the production company Vladolena Pictures Inc. 
In 2018 she produced and directed her first Canadian film, feature documentary 360+. 
Currently Olena is developing a fiction drama Game Over, a limited drama series #Lovetodeath and two documentaries The Clive Sisters and Me and My Partner.

​Biography

​Volodymyr Kozyr, Ph.D., studied Finance and Engineering in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Since 2004 he has been working as Producer/Executive Producer of documentaries and feature films for Interfilm Production Studio. He has a reputable portfolio of international co-productions, containing award-winning documentaries and fictions. He is currently based at Vladolena Pictures Inc. in Vancouver, BC, Canada, working on a slate of projects, including 360+ documentary by Olena Fetisova.
